BUG: Quick change of selection web

Description
Selecting single image followed by quick selection of multiple images in Web ends up with right-hand pane mismatch.
Workflow:
- work on slowest connection possible to make the bug obvious (from home for example or fiddle with your local proxies to make your connection slow)
- connect to trout
- select one image in a dataset with many images, preferably in the main pane (that is where I did it)
- then hold down a Shift key and as quickly as you can select another image (-> you will have selected all the images between your first selection and the image you clicked onto when the Shift was pressed)
- observe the right-hand pane -> it is still referring to a single image, not to a multiselection, as it should (note that the multiselection happened successfully in the central panel)
- needs to be tried several times with really high-speed clicking
