Description

The image viewer in Insight displays highly compressed images with visible JPEG artifacts. The compression level has to be turned down.

Compression level is determined by connection speed (i. e. LAN -> no compression, Low -> high compression). However in case of "large planes" (> 512x512px) this is overriden, and high compression is used in any case, see org.openmicroscopy.shoola.agents.imviewer.view.ToolBar.java:383
