A number of issues were raised through ome-users mailing list (​http://lists.openmicroscopy.org.uk/pipermail/ome-users/2017-February/006343.html)

Sample files can be found in QA-17522

I was able to test and reproduce the issues with Bio-Formats 5.3.3.

Some of the problems are partly addressed by upgrading NetCDF ​https://github.com/openmicroscopy/bioformats/pull/3358. The issue with the 2016-12-14_09.26.04_Sample Prefix_WAINWRIGHT James_Protocol.ims file persists as noted on the original thread.
