It would be nice to get these pages updated in line with our new scripts workflow and repo ready for the 4.4.9 launch.

Will, is it ok if I have a play with the layout of this section and move things around a bit as a first step, and then pass on to you to sort the actual content? @jmoore wanted me to add a scripts folder with an index page so we could use developers/scripts/ as a docs landing page from the repo.

It would be nice to have a 'using git for scripting' guide post 4.4.9 (which I'll make a separate ticket for) but other than that, this is resolved by the changes made by myself and Will for 4.4.9 so I'm closing the ticket.
