OMERO.matlab: Integrate new helper functions into integration tests

Description
Jean-Marie had developed a series of "local" tests functions when writing the first documentation of the Matlab toolbox.
These tests should be moved to the source code, updated using the new helper functions and used to test the PRs of this story. Eventually, these will be converted into proper integration tests once we have Matlab slaves.

MATLAB "integration" tests are currently handled under the form of training examples run daily via the training jobs (see http://ci.openmicroscopy.org/job/OMERO-5.0-merge-training/). We may decide in the future to assign more resources into setting up proper integration testing of OMERO.matlab but as it stands this is a fair beginning. Closing this ticket and we can always reopen if necessary.
Tasks will derive from the integration tests currently under review/re-organization. Pushing to 4.4.x for now
