BUG: no display of images

On my Win7 box, and on Iain Porter's Win7 laptop, OMERO.insight gives all black thumbs and no images viewable.

(I am pretty sure I am on Java 7, if that makes a difference)

The same software on Michael Porter's and Alistair Davies' Win7 boxes works just fine.

Everything works fine with OS X and on web. Java Running 1.7.0_10 on my Win7 laptop.

also tested .insight 4.4.4 on the same laptop— works fine.

but 4.4.6 gives black thumbs and no images viewable.
server = nightshade (4.4.6) for both
also get same phenotype using KIT demo server

reboot did not change anything

Could not repeat under following conditions:
Java 1.7.0_5, server nightshade, VM on Virtual Box, Win7. Insight 4.4.6. Both 32 bit work - viewing okay.

Upgraded to 1.7.0_17 - server nightshade, VM on VB, Win7, Insight 4.4.6. Both 32 bit and 64 version of Insight work okay.

This could not be repeated with 4.4 6 and 4.4.8 insight versions on the new Win7 laptop connected to Nightshade (4.4.8 server). Images viewing okay with Insight and Insight_64.

this error was not noticed. Win XP and Win 7 machines and virtual boxes are working fine on dev_4_4. Closing.
