BUG: User display menu distorted when many groups

The User View menu has problems in case the number of groups is very high. It shows distorted lines (see screenshots).
Workflow:
- Login to Howe as user "ttt"
- Make sure you have User View
- Put the User display menu on - the view of the groups is distorted
The Groups list is squished - you can still get the users submenu when you mouse over it
But the User submenu is at times hidden behind the group list (see screenshots)
And the user submenus come up only up to approx. half of the list when going down the group list - just before that, the user submenus look slightly truncated in the vertical direction.

The integration testing produced around 770 groups - but the problems probably start at more reasonable numbers of groups. I guess the previous work on this display concentrated more on the "many users" problem, not "many groups" problem.
