Description
Great reference on installing Postgres via brew here: http://russbrooks.com/2010/11/25/install-postgresql-9-on-os-x
Would make good addition to OS X brew instructions: http://www.openmicroscopy.org/site/support/omero4/sysadmins/unix/server-install-homebrew.html
Certainly much more informative than "$ brew install postgresql"

Ah okay - maybe then we should just say, as we do for the server installation doc 'PostgreSQL installed and configured', as opposed to suggesting even as much as 'brew install postgresql', which doesn't do all that is required?

Could do, or maybe add an 'installing with homebrew' section to the 'OMERO.server & PostgreSQL' page which i now notice we have?
Happy to defer to whatever the relevant experts think is appropriate.

Helen, sorry - I'll open a PR - Sebastien points out that the extra stuff (server installation/configuration) I refer to is in fact in there, just hiding under Database Creation, so I didn't see it at the time.

Closing this ticket.
I was under the impression we did not want to start providing detailed instructions on installing prerequisites. Not sure what the best policy is here - I could add the link but I'm not sure linking to what is essentially a blog post is a precedent we want to start in the documentation. Maybe a better place for this would be the forums?
