J-M: what other information than the name of the reader class are you looking for? Or is what you need already in the model and this is for showing it in the UI?

more looking for info like the domain e.g. HCS so I can be sure to load the correct data.
I could for now compare the name of the reader with the list of HCS readers

As long as we're sure that a valid Reader is always being saved (server-side) then you should be able to instantiate a class with that name and then use it to access the domain values, etc.

Is there an issue here with, say, the server having new readers that an older client doesn't know?

  • Milestone changed from 5.x to 5.1.0
  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Version set to 5.1.2

This has been fixed in 5.1 when reviewing the submission to QA.
