Fake series of different sizes

Description
Currently, setting ...&series=5.fake causes the FakeReader to create 5 images all of identical configuration. One option would be to use the properties file to alter series values > 1. Another option would be a way to tie or stitch together multiple fake files into a single series:
$ touch a&series=glob.fake # All files with this prefix could be taken $ touch a&series=glob.fake&sizeZ=10&index=1.fake $ touch a&series=glob.fake&sizeZ=99&index=2.fake
