Description
Much of Nicola's workflow for output of figures involves Zooming (with interpolation to look nicer) and cropping (since only a small region is of interest).
Currently she is using Insight to do the zoom and output of jpg/png, since this does nice interpolation and she's using "Canvas" to assemble figures, which doesn't do interpolation.
She has to do the cropping carefully and identically for each panel in Canvas.
This is very labour intensive for figures with many panels - lots of repetition.
I showed her a couple of existing features to help:
- Script -> Util_Scripts -> Images_From_ROIs
This crops & creates a new image from each ROI on the source image.
- Script -> Export_Scripts -> Batch_Image_Export
We can now output all the planes / channels in one go.
- Also: Movie_Figure script. This comes quite close to Nicolas current figure & could be used as a starting point for figures in Canvas.
With these tricks, Nicola has nearly everything she needs EXCEPT the zoom / interpolation on export.
So, a big win would be to have zoom (with/without interpolation) in the Batch_Image_Export script
