Comment: Switching between home and work with a laptop means that I often forget to change the compression setting before logging into nightshade. Then when I'm at home I realise things are really slow and have to change the compression image by image, or break my workflow, log out, change the setting and log back in again. Would it be possible to have the option to change it in the data manager instead? Also, logically, I think the compression setting is more of a session concept, rather than a server setting (from a user point of view) so having it tucked away in that dialogue before login means most users will never see it again.

As a side note, I've noticed new users type in the server address then click the 'High (Broadband)' radio straight away, presumably because the word 'high' means more to them than 'LAN'. I'm guessing there are quite a few users out there permanently viewing everything with compression.
