Can you check activity in webserver logfiles (apache) on 2013-10-10 around 20:51:18. I can't see anything in omero/web logs

this seems to be an answer ​http://serverfault.com/questions/476318/apache-access-log-x80w-x01-x03-x01 and ​http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=919066

If we don't have and don't need SSL, why just don't remove the "Listen 443" directive from configuration file /etc/apache2/port.conf. It will only listen to port 80.

It appears to be an attempt to exploit vulnerabilities in the Home Network Administration Protocol (HNAP) implementations of D-Link routers. Closing as this is nothing to do with the app
