BUG: Webfgure - out of canvas

Reported by: pwalczysko Owned by: web-team@…

Description

I added to Webfigure 56 images. Then I selected all and minimized them so that they would fit the canvas for my subsequent .pdf creation. Nevertheless, when making all the 56-group smaller, I went out of the white canvas (see screenshot). I am trying to use the keyboard arrows to move the group to the canvas, but this does not work. Dragging the whole group using mouse ends up dragging one single image out of the group every time. See screenshot.

Realized now that this is to be dealt with as follows : zoom in, make the figure group bigger, which will expose the overarching selection square over the 56 images and drag this square to the canvas.
It would be good to have something like "fit to canvas" button for cases like these.

  • Resolution set to invalid

I think many of the issues here were fixed by upgrading to a more recent Firefox (was 17). Dragging a single panel should move all of those selected. Hopefully a "fit to paper" button is not necessary? Closing, but please re-open if you find it is still needed.

After discussing with Petr, a "Fit within paper" button would be handy.
Would make sure that all selected panels are moved and shrunk to fit inside the paper.
Only the bare minimum move & shrinking should happen. E.g. shift left 10px might be all that is needed.
