Description
#11697 included a complete implementation on the server-side, but the scripts still require too much boilerplate. With the helper classes in omero/scripts.py, a Python script can be a two-liner. Something similar should be possible in MATLAB and Jython.

Curtis, cross-linked as specified in #918. It would be good to have this anyway so we don't have to necessarily start a python process.

Note that I am moving away from Jython for the ImageJ-OMERO interoperability. So for ImageJ specifically, completing this ticket will not be relevant anymore. Do we want to move this ticket to a separate story, or just close it as wontfix?
