Description
It is not easy to see how far apart things on different z planes are. It would probably not be difficult to make a script that produces a table of ROIs and how far apart their centers are.

You may also have a look at Agilo extensions to the ticket.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centroid#Centroid_of_polygon may help (-: Probably don't want to start off being too clever about pathological polygons without checking how we handle them in other ways (e.g., compare PostScript's fill and eofill).
