No progress on this as yet. https://trac.openmicroscopy.org/ome/ticket/12836 may be somewhat related (or at least worth keeping in mind when working on this); as noted there, do be prepared to spend quality time with a hex editor as this is a format for which we're flying fairly blind (no software, no spec).

We've recently been receiving a lot of .msr files which the reader apparently doesn't handle correctly see https://trac.openmicroscopy.org/ome/ticket/13180 13181 13182. Maybe th extra samples will help.
