RFE: file type Metamorph

In the import module of OMERO.insight 5.1 the file type list for Metamorph files STK is : *.stk, *.nd, *.tif, *.tiff. However, if the user want to select only nd files it's difficult when the number of associated tif files is important. One suggestion is to have a file type Metamorph with only *.nd and only *.stk, *.tif file is not necessary.

The list of filters used in insight is coming from bio-formats
Possible to add a new entry.

Looks like we'd either have to tear this into 2 readers or invert the logic so each reader has the chance of defining multiple FileFilters, no?

Either looks to be too large for 5.1.2. Any other ideas, Melissa?

One option would be to create a separate FileFilter? for each extension coming from a reader (loci.formats.gui.GUITools lines 102-104); that's easy enough to implement, but is likely to be kind of unwieldy.

Do we really need this though? Typing "*.nd" in the "Selection" box seems to have the desired effect; I think we're going to be hard-pressed to come up with something nicer and more flexible than that.
