BUG: desync between right and central and left

Description
Start Insight freshly
- login as user-2 to eel merge
- Do not click on anything except
- using the top-right mini-search box, search for an image, e.g. 9532 (using ID)
- click on the result in the search pane and
- go to the Located in icon (top right, looks like Dataset icon)
- expand it and click on the Dataset (which contains the image)
- observe that you have been brought to the Data pane, with the Dataset selected, but not expanded
- observe that nevertheless the central pane has the thumbs of images loaded
- click onto the second image in the central pane
- observe that now you are out of sync with right-hand pane, the thumb in central pane is not selected
