You may also have a look at Agilo extensions to the ticket.
Steps to reproduce: Open a multi-Z image in full viewer. Select Z range 1-2 for projection. Select the same image in main Insight, change rendering settings in Preview, save. In full viewer the z selection then jumps to 1-1 (apparently there's the underlying problem). Change rendering settings in preview again, save -> Crash.
