Description
Using omero ldap create on nightshade 5.2.3 release, the CLI hung with no output, and CTRL-C didn't do anything, other than print "using session":
HOST:~ kenny$ omero ldap create username
Using session asdfa-asdf-asdf-asdf-asd-fasd-f (khgillen@nightshade:4064). Idle timeout: x min. Current group: My Data
In fact, the operation worked in the end, and eventually a "Cancelled" message was printed at the terminal, after waiting a long time.
Note, the 'insert experimenter' emails appeared at the same time the CLI became responsive again.

Kenny: I'm fairly sure this is the mail sending issue that we've seen elsewhere. It's something that should be fixed by background sending (#7902) but is primarily an issue on nightshade.
