Import Dicom: pixels type not correct

using r 4423

Imported Dicom/CT-MONO2-16-ort.dcm (from test folder)

The following error occurred while trying to generate a thumbnail

Checked out db and pixels type
The pixels type is int16.
This implies that something is not correct during the import.
I rename ticket and move it to an other component
