Description

The rendering settings service (IRenderingSettings) is sluggish, a maintenance pain and tricky to debug. It should be refactored. As we will be supporting more screening formats this is increasingly more important.

New version (r4622) now in trunk with significant improvements throughout.

r4625 fixes a couple problems and expands the improvements to the "apply settings" methods.
