From devteam discussion:
The use of paths in the FS repositories, especially scripting, can be confusing. If a user says "path == myscript/foo.py" but it becomes "/myscript/foo.py" on the server, then finding that script could be difficult. This becomes even worse between Windows and Unix systems.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to sufficiently handle this in 4.2.0. Will need to examine for a patch.
