The setting of OMERO_MASTER (default: master) defines what the name of the service is on Windows, but the name of the node is defined in the grid descriptor xml. bin\omero admin status should just use "master" unless the user passes another value.
NB: This is what's preventing the hudson job on Windows to startup properly.
