The user is currently using Softworks or occasionally OMARIS down at the workstations, so the major advantage he was pleased to hear was being able to work away from the workstations.
There are currently no restrictions on turning channels on and off with Softworks in working with Big Images. This was raised to be problematic by the scientist, as it creates a real lag on using Softworks and the software frequently crashes when zooming in and turning channel information on.
The scientist is keen to be involved in the further development work and subsequent follow up work with some initial prototype work. The timeframe for this needs to be determined. See #3534 for the line of further work.
