I notice you can link documents to your images in OMERO. It would be nice if that information was stored in OME as links to URLs or DOIs when possible, or if full publication citations could be stored, especially since publications are often used as proxies for citating data. It would also be great if linked documents could be given types and possibly descriptions, for example:

  1. Publications citing (or introducing) the dataset
  2. Protocols used in the dataset

Part of METS is to include that.  It is also possible to list multiple files
in one XML file and link them as a sequence, so it would be possible to have
each file within a stack have its own file name and still maintain their order.
