This transform will take an xml block from an OME-TIFF or OME-XML file in our standard format (metadata and pixels in same file) and convert it into the XML needed for the binary only format (metadata in one file, pixels in one or more other files).

This transformed xml might need to be further processed by some code as it might not be possible to tie up all of the UUIDs that link the files together in pure XSLT.
