See data/jpeg2000/mike/LCM-4-3-color-cleaned.jp2. This file cannot be read by ImageMagick?, but can be read by Aperio's ImageScope? software.

Cursory investigation indicates that there's something funny with the codestream markers - where one would expect to see '0xff', there is instead '0x3f'.
