Description

The commits from 4.2 and 4.3 are also needed on the 4.1 branch. Actions, testing, and bugs should be filed here.

We'll have to evaluate the impact on the rest of the code-base.

Think so, J-M, since 41-43-porting has been merged in. There may still be some issues, but we'll handle those as they arise.
