Test for 512x512:
- compression of full image lossy/Lossless factor of 4 in size reduction i.e. 84KB / 320KB
- compression per plane (16 planes) lossy/Lossless: 16 KB / 2.7MB

Writing of jp2 from medium size files, default strategy i.e. read the file, and write using the JPEG2000 writer, write the bytes array in one go using Lossy compression
- file: /squig/team/jpeg2000/med/xxx.ome.tiff
- 16.6MB -> 11.5 jp2 time (on my machine) ~8.5s
- file: /squig/team/jpeg2000/med/xxx.mrc
- 16.5MB -> 11.5 jp2 time (on my machine) ~8s
- file: /squig/team/jpeg2000/med/xxx.jp2
- 16.6MB -> 11.5 jp2 time (on my machine) ~15s

For the large file (/squig/jpeg2000/large/xx.tif): same strategy read and attempt to save in on go.
- reading ~1.4s
- writing: no possible. I have increased considerably memory to test.
Testing other strategies
