Description
In order to cover all the storage bases, the PostgreSQL BLOBs should be investigated as a storage mechanism for the image pyramids and/or thumbnail pyramids.

During initial investigation this seems like a really bad idea (http://wiki.postgresql.org/wiki/BinaryFilesInDB). If we feel that we should go further with this we can investigate more thoroughly later on in milestone:OMERO-Beta4.3.
