Summary
- Model supports Polyline and Line
- Insight supports Polygon and Polyline
- Database and omero.model support Line, Polyline and Polygon.
Potential problems: Eventual export of ROI polygon. Client writes a 'Line' - user views it in Insight but then can't read a Line from database.
Polygon
The model http://www.openmicroscopy.org/Schemas/ROI/2010-06/ROI.xsd does not mention Polygon but there is an omero.model.polygonI and Insight writes Polygon to the database to describe a closed line. See #4317
Line
Line is supported in the model and database, and Insight will read a line (x1,y1, x2,y2) but always save it as a PolyLine with a points string. PolyLine is supported in the model, although points string differs from model. See #4392
