RFE: Importing SPW under Ubuntu 9.10

Description
The file chooser in Insight Importer and the standalone Importer does not allow folders to be added to the queue. This makes importing SPWs a little more awkward as you need to drill down into a folder and select a suitable file. This works okay for MIAS, not sure how easy it is for other formats.
Chris says that this is still an issue in later versions of Ubuntu.
Brian did look at 3rd-party file choosers before the last release without success. Not sure if there is any possibility that the situation has changed?
