Description
Export is one of the most resource intensive operations, along with import, that the server can perform. It also has the potential to produce massive files, file sets and archives. We need a background service or collection of services that can take export specifications, perform exports and then notify users of completion; potentially through e-mail.
Likely we should have process isolation from the server so that multiple exports are not taking place at once, export errors or resource exhaustion bugs / realities do not take down the server and that the export process may be run on another system altogether.
