Some of the mng files on squig are failing in Importer import. (see screen-shot). Most of these are "Pixel data not found" (other screen-shot). Not sure if these are "good" images.
However, all mng in test-images-good are importing OK.
Originally this ticket was created due to images named MNGPAST... having some thumbnail generation problem which was causing error in Insight importer (now fixed).

The files that failed (DUTCH1.mng, DUTCH3.mng, MNGGAMA1.mng, etc.) are known to be not good files, so unfortunately there's not much we can do here.
