Tricky one:

  • When I am go from highest resolution to lowest resolution in one go. No problem
  • If I go down/up resolution level by resolution level, as soon as the tile covered the image for that level, it is mainly black...

Each time I request exactly the same region.

When going down in resolution one tile is shown at the new resolution, the remainder of the image reuses the higher resolution tiles. The one tile is usually the top-left but occasionally another tile is shown at the new resolution as in the attached image.

  • Owner set to cxallan
  • Priority changed from critical to blocker
  • Remaining Time changed from 0.2 to 0.5

Need to determine if this is a client, rendering engine, or caching issue.

Problem in insight fixed now, minor issue.
Now looking at the value returned by the method renderAsPackedInt for level 0, gatan file.
The array of int returns does not always contain the same value.
The correct values are returned when going from level 5 (max) to level 0 directly but not if
going from level 5 to 0 step by step.
Bed time, I will look at it tomorrow.

Getting a step closer. it is a bug in the grey scale strategy. It works fine if it is a color image
