RFE: Browser several datasets

Description
I wanted to show multiple datasets thumbnails at the same time. If I multi-select the datasets in the hierarchies tree, right-click and choose 'browse' it only shows me one dataset.

This is currently included in the overview scoping of how to make best use of the different panes in the UI related to MIF and other issues. Timescales have not been determined yet.
