Bug: Black view in image viewer of rendering panel

Description

  • A user is opening .zvi files with the image viewer.
  • Opening the rendering controls and then seeing a black panel where the image rendering panel should be.
  • On adjustment/rescaling of the image viewer the rendering panel is then populated correctly.

I have tried to replicate her issue with the image files I have been sent on my mac and, windows NT and I have not been able to replicate the issue. I will also try with Windows 7.

More information pending - I have spoken with Will and sent the user a small jpeg to find
out if she has the same issue with a different file format. Her current data was was all .zvi files and when we were opening them they all appeared in the same way.

Jean-Marie I have set the milestone to 4.3.0 as was unsure if this will need to be addressed for 4.3.1 in addition from the initial discussion with Will it sounds like a strange error. I shall follow up with the email and windows 7 test to see if I can replicate it.

  • is it the main viewer or preview?
  • can I have access to one of the files, otherwise it will be difficult?

is it the main viewer
I have sent 3 of the files.
It was on Windows 7 - I just need access to this OS.

I have an appointment to see her at lunch .

Ticket can be closed as she is working with the 4.3 version downloaded from the openmicroscopy.org and the problem has stopped.
