Tickets relating to Tagging in general

  • Merged information from extra tagging user story #4615 to avoid duplication and any confusion

  • General information below

In the ongoing requirement work of (#3476), the following changes have been proposed for the evolution in the tagging on the OMERO clients. The implementation of the changes will be staggered due to the development size of some of the changes.

The changes being proposed is centred on the addition of new tags.

  • Available and Selected lists with "<" and ">" buttons.
  • "Tag Name" text field used as a filter (after at least 2 characters typed?), any exact matches are highlighted.
  • "New Tag" button with 'confirm' dialog if the text matches existing Tag.
  • "Description" field for adding description to new tags.
  • Filter Tags by 'me', 'others', 'all'.
  • Tag-Group hierarchy (need to expand Tag-Groups to show Tags that are filtered).
  • Handle comma-separated tags - lower priority.
  • Auto-refresh of the right-hand panel to show Tags when tagging dialog is closed.
