Description
Suggested by Jason Palmer:
You asked if I had any suggestions about how to improve it. I'm not sure how hard this would be to program, but here's an idea: instead of having axis / file name/ pattern boxes available to be written in, there is a radio button next to each group. When the radio button is selected, the user can enter text in it; when it is not selected, the user cannot change text in the box.
When the user presses OK, Bio-Formats uses the information based on the radio button selected. Even if there is conflicting data among the three sets, only the selected box's information gets used.
