Description

Currently the color mapping for multi-channel data is a little bit subjective if the emission wavelength for the channel is not present.

The following rules should be adhered to if possible for a given image:

  • If the image has a Photometric Interpretation of "Monochrome", emission wavelength should dictate color choice if present.
  • If an image with a Photometric Interpretation of "RGB" has a Color Component attached to the given channel then that color should be used.
  • If all else fails...
    • Channel 0 should be mapped to Red
    • Channel 1 should be mapped to Green
    • Channel 2 should be mapped to Blue
  • If the image only has a single wavelength it should be rendered greyscale
