Fix support for RGB Volocity clipping files

Description
Right now, RGB images are known to be unsupported. We have one example (in data/volocity/jeremy), so it would be nice to support it eventually.

It does not yet support RGB images, see #6413.
Otherwise, it works well enough that it closes #5916.
