Incompatible changes in 1.6 and 1.6.1 (universal)

As of jQuery 1.6 a few small backwards incompatibilities have been introduced. These changes are predominantly in the {.prop() and .attr() infrastructure. The release notes can be found here:
We will be upgrading past 1.6 so it is important to also take these changes into account while keeping in mind the further fixes to the above backwards incompatibilities that were made in 1.6.1:

cneves-x: I have merged this branch with the JCB DataViewer? development yesterday and it passes all selenium tests. I did not check it manually yet but no complaints from my side thus far.
