behaviour:
- If an image is selected, select all images in the dataset (visible in middle panel)
- If a dataset is selected and images visible, select all the images.
- if a dataset is selected and images not visible, select all datasets in the project.

to test:
- Select an image in the tree, use the Ctrl-A on Windows or Cmd-A on Mac to select all the images in a dataset
- Try the various combinations described in previous comments.
- Same behaviour for Screen/tag and tags.
- for File annotation or Images tab, elements in the smart folders are selected when folder is expanded.

Ctrl-A or Cmd-A by default select all the nodes.
Modified the behaviour. (close #7736)
Trickier than initially thought.
