If the client knows that it is deleting an archived file, it can also handle the removing of the archived flag (to try and avoid an incorrectly set flag in the first place).

so we agree that at the moment the "flag" issue will be taken care of by the client.

The alternative would be to say that "archive" means the file was originally there, but may since have been modified. However, depending on how we do the migration to FS, we could conceivably just drop this column altogether.

Agree when FS is in place, no need for that column

To test:

  • Import an image and select the "archived" option
  • Import an image w/o selecting the "archived" option.
  • Click on the OME-TIFF icon (see screenshot)
  • The Download flag should be on in both cases.
  • Click Download
    • For first image, the original file (e.g. dv) should be downloaded.
    • For the second image, an OME-TIFF will be created.

We may want to merge the 2 menu entries later on.
