Bug: Cannot select Image in "Orphaned images" container

Description
When an Image is in the "Orphaned images" container it cannot be selected, which means the right hand panel is not triggered for it.

Looks like it's most obvious when you import something while you have the tree up. Clicking on "Orphaned Images" then refreshes the middle panel but does nothing with the tree which causes a disconnect between the middle panel and the tree. This behavior looks to also be the case for the Dataset container.

This is the same issue that has been addressed (as best as we can right now) in #8648. If you click an orphaned thumbnail that is not in the tree, the tree will refresh to sync with the center panel.

I just tried to reproduce this and couldn't see a problem.
