Bug: Spinner on importer tags only spin when mouse moves

Description
In the attached image, the spinner on the tab for the current import only spins when the mouse moves. Is the signal handler hooked to the wrong event?

This is a limitation of the tabs component. The spinner spins all the time, if not displayed as the icon of the tab.
Writing a customized tab is not in the pipeline.
