Description
When searching in web, the basket and activities icons have a red "0" above them - that is confusing, as in other parts of the system it doesn't appear.

You may also have a look at Agilo extensions to the ticket.
I think you saw this because the javascript that hides the red dots was being slow (or hung), which doesn't usually happen.
However, to prevent the red dots showing before js has a chance to hide them, I've initially hidden them via css. https://github.com/aleksandra-tarkowska/openmicroscopy/commit/26d0033e1e3d78df6a5d4d990f703d2623ebd65f
