Description

Improvements to HDF reading infrastructure as well as new formats that are based upon HDF.

Biggest open question here is if/when/how to unify HDF library usage, since right now we have dependencies on both netCDF and jhdf. See also https://trello.com/c/Wb53HWRh/5-native-jar and https://trello.com/c/TbhuzgSJ/260-jhdf5
